Meet the Boivin’s

Hi and welcome! Honestly, I’m not expecting too much here in the world of digital sharing. However, my husband and I have been traveling for 6 years and I feel like I should be sharing our adventures more publicly than just my Instagram. Now that we are traveling with kids, that makes things even more exciting (and hard). So thank you for coming along with me as I post and share our adventures. So to begin, here is an introduction.

My name’s Kelsey and I’ve had the travel bug since I was in High School! I didn‘t start traveling until after I was married, but we’ve gotten to so many places already. More on that later. Currently and for the past 10 (WOW!) years I’ve been a special education teacher. I’ve taught grades K-6 and 9-12! In February 2020 we found out I was expecting and in October of 2020 we welcomed a beautiful baby girl into our world. The past year I’ve been navigating becoming a mother, working and adjusting to this new world. All the while eagerly waiting to go on our next adventure. Some things I like to do in my “free-time“ are take photos of my little girl, binge watch TV shows and write.

My husband, Kevin, has taken on the role of being a stay at home dad. He is amazing! We met when I was in college at Arizona State University at a summer house party in our hometown of Toms River, NJ! We decided to date long distance and after 3 and a half years he finally packed up his stuff (and business) and moved across the country. 2 years later we we’re engaged then married on New Years Eve 2015. My husband has his own business and is able to work from home. Most of that has been put on hold as he takes care of our daughter during the day, but he still finds a way to get things done.

Guinevere is our ONE 😩 year old daughter. She came into the world 10 days early and spent 3 days in the NICU for low blood sugar. The first six months of her life were hard, for her and for us but we eventually figured it out and things are more natural for us all now. She is a very serious girl but has a contagious smile when you can get one. We’re so blessed to have a happy and healthy child in this crazy world who can come on adventures with us and keep things interesting.

So there you have it, that’s the family as it stands today. The three of us have already had 4 travel filled adventures before her first birthday and I can’t wait to have some more. I say I there as my husband, who enjoys traveling, does not desire to travel as much as I do.
